Facilities and Access

The Museum building is as accessible as possible to visitors with the upper two galleries of the Museum accessible by stair lift. The stair lift is accessible to smaller electric buggies with a maximum capacity of 17 stone (108kg).
Kinnaird Head Castle and Lighthouse is an Ancient Scheduled Monument and is not entirely accessible and not fitted with disability aids. The tower has 72 steps to reach the top, with three stops on landings on the way up. If patrons are physically unable to climb steps the museum offers a Museum Only ticket.
